Many thanks to all who made it to our stick and knife defence workshop on Sunday 24 June 2007. The applications shown from Wing Chun were additional to the last workshop and involved levering techniques to take down an attacker. Once again, these were adapted to show how they could be used against a variety of weapons including broken bottles, baseball bats and the knife whether double or single bladed. Students were encouraged to try different counter attacks and taught how to adapt for varying builds, when to dodge and when to come in to the attacker to disarm. Everyone said that they felt the session was beneficial and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
